The Calexico Health Center will have a well needed expansion very soon. Pioneers Memorial Hospital and members of the community gathered to witness the groundbreaking ceremony that will kick-off the construction of a new building that will help the clinic expand their services in Calexico.
New construction will add over 5,700 square feet of new space and will include the remodeling of the existing 7,600 sq ft. This will be PMHD’s largest clinic.
It will create four distinct areas of the clinic; primary care, urgent Care, women’s health and pediatrics moving from thirteen exam rooms to thirty.
The new facility will be able to comfortably accommodate nine medical providers and will allow them to expand those services in addition to the existing nephrology, orthopedic and ophthalmology.
Potential for future expansion service include general surgery, urology and gastroenterology.
