Beyond Borders Celebrates a Year of Success

-Editorial

Community leaders from both sides of the border joined in a special event hosted by Beyond Borders Gazette to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year and look for to 2023.

A New Year’s toast offers the ideal opportunity to celebrate new beginnings with friends and family. The tradition of raising a glass in celebration dates back to early customs where a toast represented everything from hospitality and honor to promoting a long-lasting life.

Business leaders from the local chambers of commerce, social activists, clients, members of the media, and team members that contribute to Beyond Borders on a daily basis gathered in this celebration. This was the second and now traditional End of the Year toast celebration Beyond Borders organizes at Palominos Restaurant since the pandemic and it was a great night to network and reconnect with friends.

The event was an example of what Beyond Borders Gazette has accomplished in the last 7 years to unite both sides of the border.

Also present were elected officials such as Calexico Mayor Javier Moreno, Councilwoman Gloria Guadalupe Romo, and City Manager Esperanza Colio-Warren. Also present was Ensenada Councilwoman, Alma Lorena Antúnez García, among others.
