BAJA CALIFORNIA WAITING FOR VACCINE TO CONTINUE WITH STRATEGY AGAINST COVID

The Baja California Ministry of Health is waiting for an important shipment of Pfizer vaccine for second dose applications, additionally, it anticipates the arrival this weekend of the Johnson & Johnson doses to start with the population of 18 to 39 years.

The Secretary of State for Health, Alonso Óscar Pérez Rico, commented that as soon as the shipment arrives, they will reactivate the immunization points against Covid to continue with the process in the State.

Currently, the Covid hospital occupancy in Baja California is 27.98%, with 305 beds available, 243 ventilators available, 94 hospitalized patients (confirmed by a laboratory), and an effective reproduction rate of 0.88.
