-Editorial

As part of the preparations for the 49th edition of the Tianguis Turístico, which will take place in Baja California, state and federal authorities held a meeting with leaders from the airline industry to explore opportunities for connectivity and strengthen strategic partnerships.

The meeting, led by Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, and Baja California’s Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, emphasized the potential of this binational edition, which aims to position Baja California as a strategic destination connecting Mexico with the southern United States.

Among the proposals presented was the Hosted Buyers program, designed to offer airlines incentives such as transportation, lodging, official accreditation, guided tours of Baja California, and personalized business meeting agendas. This program seeks to foster business relationships between airlines, travel agencies, and tour operators, while also increasing demand for flights to the region.

The Tianguis Turístico in Baja California is emerging as a key platform to promote multi-destination tourism, consolidate partnerships, and strengthen air connectivity—essential elements for the growth of the tourism offering and the economic development of the region.
