BAJA CALIFORNIA BROADENS BINATIONAL COLLABORATION WITH UTAH ORGANIZATIONS AND AUTHORITIES IN THE UNITED STATES

UTAH, UNITED STATES.– With the purpose of establishing a long-term cooperation and coordination relationship for the advancement of infrastructure, technology and trade opportunities for the promotion of exports of natural gas to markets globally, the Secretary of Economic Development (SEDECO) signed a memorandum of understanding with various agencies, tribes and counties in the area of ​​the Uintha Basin, in accordance with the policy of the State Administration headed by Governor Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, to generate Binational alliances.

The Secretary of Economic Development, Carlo Bonfante Olache, participated in the signing ceremony that took place within the framework of the Uintha energy summit, which brings together local and international energy companies, and support services to discuss issues related to this area and new business opportunities.

Bonfante Olache said that previously collaborated with the Office of Energy Development (OED) had already been established, to promote contribution, and with this new document the scope is broadened, since integrated, in addition to the state of Utah, are the Wyoming and Colorado Authority, as well as the UTE indigenous tribe.

On the other hand, the Secretary of Energy of the Government of the State of Utah, Laura Nelson, and event host and promoter of the increasingly broad collaboration, mentioned that the north-south energy hub is of vital importance to keep energy supply systems viable, financially and sustainably at a binational level, hence the importance of this agreement where, among all actors, they provide opportunities, challenges, and solutions to the rest of the ecosystem from their region.
