Mexicali.- With the purpose of promoting the artistic development in the entity authorities of the Institute of Culture of Baja California in conjunction with the Secretary of Culture calls up the community of artists of the north of the country to participate in the XXl Plastic Biennial of Baja California.
Among the different categories in which artists can participate are: Painting, Drawing, Graphic and Three-Dimensional Work. Each artist will have the opportunity to present a minimum of three and a maximum of five works in no more than two disciplines of their choice (Winners in past editions will not be able to participate).
The director of ICBC Manuel Bejarano Giacoman stated the importance of boosting the talent of the region because in past editions influx was not so high and therefore invites the entire population to take advantage of this national call, he said.
The selection will consist of three stages and is dedicated to creators with a verifiable residence of a minimum of five years in the State (in case of foreign people).
Lastly, the prizes will be 50 thousand pesos and 30 thousand pesos depending on the chosen category, besides delivering a diploma and a plaque for the winners.
The closing of reception will be on September 18 of this year and the XXI Plastic Biennial of Baja California will be inaugurated on Friday, November 24, of this year, at the State Center of the Arts of Mexicali and later exhibited in the CEART of every municipality.
