AgroBaja has established itself as one of the most important events in the country for the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors. Year after year, entrepreneurs, buyers, and experts from around the world gather at this event, which not only showcases the best of the region but also fosters trade exchange and innovation within the industry.
The 2025 edition kicked off on March 6, featuring the latest agricultural technology and entrepreneurial spirit.
José Gabriel Posada Gallego, one of the event organizers, emphasized the effort, dedication, and creativity that everyone involved has put into making AgroBaja a national and international benchmark. “We are very proud of what we have achieved. This is not just a showcase for regional products but a meeting point where buyers from different parts of the world can see firsthand what we have to offer,” he stated.
One of AgroBaja’s most distinctive aspects is the direct interaction between entrepreneurs and visitors. “Personal contact is key in this event. Business owners not only present their products but also establish business relationships at the point of sale,” Posada Gallego explained.
Additionally, AgroBaja has worked closely with embassies and foreign companies to attract attention from new markets. “Mexico is a country with enormous agricultural wealth, but often, international buyers—especially those from across the Atlantic—don’t reach this region. This event has helped us generate interest and keep AgroBaja’s appeal constantly growing,” he added.
Since AgroBaja’s first edition about 25 years ago, Semillas del Río Colorado has been a key participant, solidifying its presence in the region’s agricultural sector.
Jorge Alberto Mendizábal Vélez, company representative, highlighted AgroBaja’s importance as a platform for brand exposure, strengthening relationships with suppliers, and generating new business opportunities. “The main goal is not just to gain recognition but to serve our customers, provide them with a space to engage, and give back for their trust,” he noted.
Beyond business interactions, AgroBaja facilitates negotiation tables and discussions on new agricultural trends and products. Semillas del Río Colorado specializes in the sale and distribution of grain and vegetable seeds, covering Baja California’s coastal region—including Ensenada and San Quintín—all the way to Baja California Sur, as well as Mexicali, the Valley, and San Luis Río Colorado.
Case has positioned itself as a leading brand in the sale of tractors and machinery in Baja California, catering to both the agricultural and construction sectors.
Claudio Varado, company representative, highlighted the importance of participating in AgroBaja, an event that allows them to connect with clients and showcase their specialized equipment. “We sell machinery for the Mexicali Valley, the coastal region, San Quintín, and Tijuana, in addition to construction equipment for both sides of the border,” he explained.
For them, AgroBaja has become a key space for strengthening business relationships and presenting the latest industry developments. “We look forward to welcoming you at the event—come and check us out,” Varado invited, emphasizing the expo’s significance for the growth of the agricultural and construction sectors in the region.
What started as an invitation to the Date Fair turned into a passion for brewing, shaping Cervecería Ejidal’s identity. Founder Mario González Barba began with a date-based beer recipe, which quickly gained popularity, opening doors to new events and the growth of the brand.
Today, the brewery offers 12 unique styles, rotating by season and always incorporating regional ingredients. “Our motto is ‘We are the flavor of the Mexicali Valley’ because we strive to ensure each beer reflects the identity of our local produce,” González Barba explained.
An example is their wheat beer, made with flour wheat from the Mexicali Valley, as well as their distinctive dark beer, where dates play a key role in fermentation and maturation, giving it body and a unique taste.
With pride, Cervecería Ejidal represents Ejido Oaxaca, promoting the valley’s richness not only in beer but also in gastronomy and new opportunities. “We love showcasing our homeland and inviting people to explore it. There’s so much to discover here and many beverages yet to be created,” González Barba concluded.
With 10 years in the market, Cervecería Brew Capital continues to carve out a place in the craft beer industry, and its participation in AgroBaja represents a key opportunity to reach new audiences.
Carlos Martínez, brewery representative, stressed the importance of such events in raising brand awareness. “Despite being in business for a decade, there are still many people who don’t know us. AgroBaja allows us to reach these new consumers,” he stated.
The craft beer sector is experiencing double-digit annual growth, according to Martínez. He also noted how the industry is gaining exposure at major events. “One example was the Caribbean Series, where we had the opportunity to be in the fan zone, and it was a success for everyone,” he added.
Technology continues to transform agriculture, and Maquinaria Frontera leads the way with precision agriculture and agricultural drones, showcased at AgroBaja as part of its portfolio of advanced solutions.
Ricardo Núñez Olvera, manager of precision agriculture and rentals, emphasized the importance of digitization in farming. “We are presenting equipment that optimizes processes, such as agricultural drones, which facilitate the application of liquids and solids in difficult terrains, reducing costs and improving efficiency,” he explained.
One of the most innovative models is the DJI T50 drone, featuring a 40-liter capacity, carbon fiber arms, an aerospace-grade aluminum chassis, and a 360-degree camera for real-time monitoring. It can operate manually or automatically, covering 11 meters and applying up to 20 liters per hour, significantly improving productivity compared to traditional methods.
“Agriculture 4.0 is already a reality. With this technology, producers can digitize processes, collect real-time data, and optimize applications,” Núñez Olvera added.
With a consistent presence at AgroBaja, RDO Equipment de México has leveraged this event as a key platform to strengthen its relationship with the region’s agricultural community.
Ernesto Beltrán, company representative, emphasized the importance of participating annually. “Events like AgroBaja allow producers to access new technologies and equipment, and for us, it is essential to be here supporting the sector,” he said.
One of the event’s highlights is the Customer Application, held every Friday during the expo. “We invite our clients, offer them a meal, and create a space for engagement. It’s our way of thanking them and reinforcing our relationship,” Beltrán explained.
With a genuine selection of mezcals and artisanal punches, Colima Real has found AgroBaja to be the perfect platform to showcase its products.
Tonanzi Uribe Mansilla, brand representative, highlighted that this is their third participation in the event, always with a positive experience. “We came once before the pandemic and have returned every year since. The reception has been excellent—people have welcomed us very well,” he said.
