Mexicali, B.C.- On Sunday, July 26, a Mega-Caravan took place around the state of Baja California, organized by the community in favor of marriage and the family in their traditional form, in which nearly 1,600 vehicles paraded.

In Mexicali, this event was held in the streets of the city starting from Novena street, all the way through Lázaro Cárdenas and ending in Plaza Centenario de Rio Nuevo. Fathers, mothers, young girls and boys attended the call with banners and signs.

“No to the imposition of gender ideology”, “Families with values, better families”, were some of the messages that could be read on the posters which also had the word biology. In addition, those attending the caravan carried pink and blue balloons, referring to the tones that socially represent women and men, respectively.

In turn, blue flags and white letters waved saying, “Marriage: male and female”, also some banners carried religious messages and some were in defense of childhood. Among the attendants, to the caravan, some state assemblymembers were found.

It should be noted that this event took place the day after another caravan was celebrated in which the LGBTQ community joined in favor of the approval of same-sex marriage, which was attended by more than a thousand people on the esplanade of the three powers in the civic center of Mexicali.

This happened just the day after the Government, Legislation, and Commercial Points Commission’s virtual session approved the 51st opinion or law initiative that seeks to give legal security to same-sex couples.
